Day 1: Colombo - Gaya
On arrival Bodh gaya Airport from Colombo Airport ( Sri Lanka). You will meet and greet transfer to
hotel . Check In hotel and refersh yourself. After Lunch proceed to visit Mahabodhi Temple . Bodhgaya is
one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world with the Mahabodhi Temple
Complex. It was here under a banyan tree, also called the Bodhi Tree that Lord Buddha attained the
Enlightment. The magnificent Mahabodhi temple and the Tree from the original sapling still stands in the
temple premises. The temple is an architectural amalgamation of many centuries, cultures and heritages.
Mahabodhi Temple is UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later visit 80 feet high lord Buddha Statue & Various
international monasteries. Return to Hotel . Dinner and Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 2: Bodhgaya -Rajgir – Nalanda– Vaishali (250 km )
After breakfast at hotel later excursion to Rajgir (80 kms), Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and
significance for Buddhists. Afternoon visit Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar jail & Ajatashatru's Fort. After
lunch drive to Nalanda, (12 kms). It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International
Centre for Buddist Studies.
Nalanda was one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world University established in 5th
century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of Jainism religion Lord Mahavir taught
at this university for years. There is even a monument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer
Hiuen Tsang who studied at this university in the 7th century A.D. After proceed to Vaishali. Dinner and
Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 : Vaishali – Kushinagar (193 KMS |05Hrs)
Brekfast at hotel . Visit Vaishali – Gautam Buddha spent his last rainy season and delivered his last
sermon at Vaishali and announced his approaching Mahaparinirvana (the final departure from the world)
before leaving for Kushinagar. It also has one of the best-preserved of the Pillars of Ashoka, topped by
a single lion. Museum houses some of the archaeological remains discovered here. Close to the museum is
the shaded stupa which has the casket relic with the ashes of Buddha.Continue drive to Kushinagar.
Arrive & Check-in at hotel.
Kushinagar is the place where the Buddha is believed to have breathed his last. It is one of the
of Buddhist pilgrimage and attracts thousands of visitors fromall over the world every year. In the

Day 4 : Kushinagar –Lumbini

After breakfast drive to Lumbini (05hrs). Lumbini: The birth place of Lord Buddha .While going to
Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities.
Check In hotel . After Lunch at Hotel .Lumbini Garden is the place where,Queen Mayadevi gave birth to
Lord Buddha. The holy site of Lumbini has ruins of ancient monasteries, a sacred Bodhi tree, an ancient
bathing pond and the Mayadevi Temple - which is the place of birth of Lord Buddha.
Lumbini Garden was granted World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1997. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5 : Lumbini – Kapilvastu–Sravasti

After breakfast morning leave for Sravasti, enroute visit Kapilavastu - Kapilavastu was the ancient
of the Sakya Clan, whose ruler 'Shuddhodhan' was the father of the Buddha. Lord Buddha left his palace
in Kapilavastu at the age of 29 and revisited it 12 years later, after attaining the Enlightenment. The
main archaeological site was discovered during excavation 1971-76. Later continue drive to Sravasti & on
arrival check-in at hotel. After Lunch visit Sravasti
Shravasti was a city of ancient India
and one of the six largest cities in India during Gautama Buddha's lifetime. Shravasti is closely
associated with the life of Gautama Buddha, who is believed to have spent 24 Rainy Seasons in this city.
You will visit the Jetavana Monastry & Angulimala's Stupa.Dinner andn Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6:Sravasti – Varanasi (350 KMS |9 Hrs|
After Breakfast leave sravastii for Varanasi by surface (350kms / 9 hrs). Varanasi is a city on the
banks of the
Ganges. It is the holiest cities in Hinduism and Jainism, and played an important role in the
development of Buddhism. The city is known worldwide for its many ghats along the river bank and Temples
One of Asia's largest residential universities is Benaras
Hindu University located in the city.
Arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Gange aarti
takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening . Dinner and Overnight stay at Varanasi
Day 7:Varanasi - Sarnath – Bodhgaya( 260 kms/6 Hours )
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers
to the rising sun. Return to hotel for breakfast. later proceed Sarnath (10 kms )Sarnath is 10 km away
from city of Varanasi - a highly revered Buddhist pilgrimage centre. It is believed that after getting
enlightenment at Bodh Gaya, Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at Sarnath. The Archaeological Museum
houses the findings , wealth and excavations , recovered from the site of first sermon.
Later proceed to Bodhgaya . Check In hotel . Later visit to Dungeswari Caves where Buddha had
meditated for some time and Niranjana River. Dinner and Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 08 : Bodhgaya Departure
Morning visit mahabodhi Temple. In time transfer to airport to connnect the flight for onward
