Day 1:  Colombo Airport  ( Srilanka ) -  Delhi Airport  – Gaya Airport

Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, you'll board your connecting flight to Gaya. When you arrive at Gaya International Airport, you'll be greeted by our representative who will accompany you to your hotel and assist you with the check-in process. Take some time to rest and freshen up . In evening visit to  Mahabodhi Temple, the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site in the world. This temple complex houses the Bodhi Tree, under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Dinner and overnight stay at Gaya .

Bodhgaya Kushinagar Tour  

Day 2 : Bodhgaya
Early morning visit Mahabodhi temple to offer Ghee Rice Pooja (Kiripidu Dhana). Return to Hotel. After breakfast proceed for full days sightseeing. Visit  The Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also referred to as the Mahakala Caves, are located in the Gaya district of Bihar, just 12 kilometers north-east of Bodhgaya. This sacred site is believed to be where Gautama Siddhartha meditated devoutly for six years before he attained enlightenment in Bodhgaya. To commemorate this significant phase of Buddha's journey, two small shrines have been erected at the site. One of the cave temples houses a golden sculpture of an emaciated Buddha, representing the austerity of his penance, while the other contains a large Buddha statue standing at approximately six feet tall. Additionally, a Hindu goddess deity known as Dungeshwari has also been enshrined inside the cave temple. A visit to this historic site is a must for those who seek to delve deeper into Buddha's spiritual journey.

Later visit  Sujata Village, also known as Senani Village, is a significant Buddhist site that marks the spot where a young maiden named Sujata offered a bowl of rice milk to Sakyamuni, bringing an end to his rigorous asceticism. This pivotal moment inspired him to follow the "Middle Path" in all aspects of life, making Sujata Village an important landmark in Buddhist history. The location where Sakyamuni received the offering is now marked by the Sujata Temple.

Later visit 80th feet  Buddha Statue ,Srilanka Monastery and other international Monastery.

In evening visit  Mahabodhi Temple . Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3: Bodhgaya –Nalanda – Rajgir  Vashali  (210  km )

After breakfast at hotel  Proceed to Vashali en-route visit  Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists.  Visit  Vulture Hill (Gijjakuta)- It is the place which is believed to be the place where Lord Buddha delivered one of his most significant sutras i.e. Lotus Sutras. Hot Springs, World Peace Stupa-also called the Peace Pagoda. A chair lift aerial ropeway that transports guests to the top of the hill and back down is one of the primary attractions.. Veluwanaramaya, also known as the Bamboo Garden.

After lunch drive to Nalanda, (12 kms). It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International Centre for Buddist Studies. Nalanda was one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world University established in 5th century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of Jainism religion Lord Mahavir taught at this university for years. There is even a monument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer Hiuen Tsang who studied at this university in the 7th century A.D.  Later drive to Vashali .  Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 4 : Vaishali – Kushinagar (210 KMS |05 Hrs)

After breakfast  at Hotel  visit Vaishali - where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon announcing his approaching Nirvana. Visit Vaishali  stupa  holding urns containing ashes of Buddha and Ashok pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark places sanctified by Buddha. Continue drive to Kushinagar. Arrive & Check-in at hotel. Kushinagar is the place where Buddha entered perfect tranquility the state of Mahaparinirvana (where Buddha took  his last breath) . Dinner and  Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 : Kushinagar –Lumbini (  180 Kms/ 4 -5 Hour )

After breakfast drive to Lumbini (05hrs). The birth place of Lord Buddha. Visit  Maya Devi Temple - dedicated to Maya Devi, the mother of Gautama Buddha . The temple complex also includes a sacred pool where Maya Devi is said to have bathed before giving birth to the Buddha.   Ashok pillar  Ashoka Pillar, standing nearby Maya Devi shrine was constructed by Emperor Ashoka. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel .

 

Day 6: Lumbini – Kapilvastu–Sravasti | 280 KMS |07 Hrs|
After breakfast morning leave for Sravasti, enroute visit Kapilavastu - where Buddha’s childhood was spent & also visit ruins of the Palaces. Later continue drive to Sravasti & on arrival check-in at hotel. After Lunch visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons, visit Jetvana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 7:SRAVASTI – VARANASI | 350 KMS | 8 -9HRS|
 

After breakfast  at Hotel.  Drive to Varanasi approx 350  kilometers, and the estimated travel time is approximately 8-9  hours. Varanasi is renowned among Hindus and Buddhists due to its close proximity to Sarnath. After arriving in Varanasi and completing the check-in process at your hotel .
Option
witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti. This ceremony takes place at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi after sunset, starting at 6:45 PM and lasting for around 45 minute. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 8: Varanasi - Sarnath – Bodhgaya( 270 kms/6 Hours )
Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing ghats and cremation site. .Return to hotel. After breakfast visit Sarnath  with  Pirith ceremony –(where Buddha delivered his first sermon).Visit Dhamekha Stupa and  Sarnath Museum  ( Friday closed .)  After lunch  proceed to Bodhgaya by surface (270  kms / 6 hrs) .Check In Hotel .  Dinner and Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 09 : Bodhgaya Departure
After Breakfast Visit again Mahabodhi Temple and last Minutes shopping .In time Transfer to airport to connect the flight for onward destination.
